Eighteen years. Three master's degrees. One clear purpose.
Ami Upadhyaya founded HRpreneurs out of a conviction that human resources, when done well, is one of the most powerful forces in a business. Not a support function. A strategic driver.
She brings close to 2 decades of experience as a Human Resource Professional across the IT, Retail, and Real Estate industries — serving in leadership roles at global and multinational organizations. That breadth of exposure across sectors and scale is rare, and it shapes how she approaches every client engagement: with context, not just process.
Her educational foundation is equally distinctive. She holds three master's degrees — in Commerce, Business Administration, and Business Laws — alongside a Bachelor of Management Studies. That combination of financial literacy, management theory, and legal fluency means she thinks about people challenges the way a business leader does: commercially, holistically, and with consequence in mind.
Hands in the work. Eyes on the horizon.
What sets Ami apart is the combination of depth and range. Her competencies span the full human resource function — from executive talent acquisition and workforce planning to compensation design, performance governance, and policy development. She is equally comfortable in a boardroom defining people strategy and on the ground implementing an onboarding process for a 50-person team.
Her expertise in Leadership Training and Development is particularly distinctive. As a certified and licensed Neuro Linguistic Practitioner and Hypnotist, she brings a rare ability to understand complex thought processes and guide individuals toward constructive, measurable results. In leadership sessions, this translates into sharper self-awareness, better communication, and more deliberate decision-making — outcomes that stay long after the training ends.
Her policy work is equally thorough. She has developed and implemented frameworks across Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH), Code of Conduct, and Diversity & Inclusion — not as compliance checkboxes, but as foundations for workplaces people actually want to work in.
Structure that frees people. Systems that respect them.
Ami's approach to HR is grounded in a belief that structure should liberate, not restrict. When organizations have clarity on their roles, their processes, and their expectations, people can do their best work. When that clarity is absent, even the best people underperform.
She combines an entrepreneurial aptitude with a leadership mindset — willing to take calculated risks, challenge conventional assumptions, and advocate for solutions that may be less familiar but more effective. Her academic background gives her the language to work with legal, financial, and operational stakeholders. Her practitioner experience gives her the credibility to be trusted.
At HRpreneurs, she has built a firm that reflects these values: execution-focused, people-first, and committed to outcomes that are practical, compliant, and built to last.
"15+ years in Legal, Corporate Affairs, and Business Affairs across global media and entertainment organizations."
